WebMay 15, 2024 · If anyone else has this same issue, try putting a piece of foam on a few layers of tape on the hub of each fan and see if it solves your issue. I figured out your absolutely right. It is the bearing. I discovered today the sound is coming from the fact there is "play" between the bearing tract and the base of the fan. WebOfcourse, it annoyed me and I proceeded to locate the source, disassemble the PC and verify the fans, profile etc. Eventually I concluded that the sound is from my GPU - Gigabyte GTX 1060 G1 Gaming edition. On further analysis, I found that it only comes when my GPU clock goes over 1800MHz, which it constantly does in games.
