She is currently Professor of Molecular and Cell Biology and Professor of Chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley and an Investigator of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. WebJennifer Anne Doudna (born February 19, 1964) is an American biochemist. Her work on CRISPR gene editing won her the 2024 Nobel Prize in Chemistry with Emmanuelle Charpentier. The award was: "For a method for genome editing". Doudna earned her PhD at Harvard University in 1994.
