Webb27 aug. 2024 · Novice Member. Aug 25, 2024. #1. Slow speeds on Samsung T7 SSD. Hi, I recently purchased a 2TB Samsung T7 SSD external hard drive for some extra storage on my Windows laptop. It was advertised as having sequential read and write speeds of up to 1000MB/s, but I'm only getting speeds of up to 50MB/s when I try to transfer files over. The 2024/2024 ‌MacBook Air‌ SSD speeds came to 1319 MB/s read and 1007 MB/s write speeds. However, this shouldn't come as a surprise for someone as Apple did announce twice the SSD speed during its online event.

Webb17 nov. 2024 · I recently bought a SanDisk Ultra 3d SSD and upon testing it never reaches the advertised speed of 560mb/s read, 530mb/s write. Sometimes the read speed is even lower than 400 mb/s, also the write speed is always higher than the read speed. My old 120gb Kingston uv400 reaches 500+mb/s read speed which is the advertised speed.
