WebbIn my experience, one of the biggest lag makers is the taxi-boats feature. In order to get rid of most of them, you need to do two things: 1) remove all public lots located outside the mainland. This way, NPCs won't try to get there at all; and 2) use the NRaas' Traffic mod to prevent NPCs from using taxi-boats whenever they're routing somewhere.

Follow the instructions (basically, find the original Isla Paradiso .world file, rename it, copy the downloaded .world to the same folder) Fixes affect only NEW games; saved games on Isla Paradiso will NOT be fixed. What I do: Invite the mermaid over; form group; go to a dive spot with group; friendly>chat; friendly>get to know - then I remove my hands from the keyboard/mouse and just wait.
